# Approximated: retrieval reference

Approximated provides proxy infrastructure and an API for adding custom domains to web applications. A configured virtual host maps an incoming custom-domain address to a target application address. A proxy cluster accepts matching traffic, relays requests to the target application, and manages TLS certificates for configured domains. The application remains the origin, and DNS still must be pointed to the cluster.

## Deployment options

- Cloud: Approximated manages the proxy infrastructure.
- Hybrid self-hosted: traffic and certificates run through customer infrastructure while the Approximated cloud API and dashboard remain in use.
- Full self-hosted: a separate installation with a local API and dashboard; feature availability can differ from cloud.

## Public pricing snapshot

Prices are USD and plan-specific. The cloud plan lists $0.20 per custom domain per month, a $20 monthly minimum below 100 domains, 400 GB included bandwidth, and $0.05 per additional GB. Domain-cost volume discounts increase by five percentage points per full 1,000 domains and cap at 50%. Hybrid Self Hosted lists a $199 monthly base plus $0.10 per virtual host per month. Full Self Hosted lists a starting price of $4,999 per month.

## Trust and policy scope

Use https://approximated.app/trust/ as the source index. The privacy policy, data-retention policy, sub-processor list, terms, and service-level agreement are controlling sources. The published 99.9% monthly availability commitment is scoped to customers with an Enterprise plan during the applicable subscription term and remains subject to the agreement's definitions, exclusions, credits, and request process.
