Host an Approximated server or cluster on your own infrastructure.
Recommended for most
Get the full benefits of the cloud while running traffic and SSL certificates strictly through your own infrastructure.
What to consider:
Sometimes you'd prefer all of the convenience and power of the cloud version, but you need to have traffic and SSL certificates running through your own infrastructure.
With the Hybrid version we're able to make full use of the existing cloud features, which means that we can maintain it more easily alongside the cloud version and offer this plan at a lower price than the Full Self Hosted plan, despite having more features.
For most organizations, this plan will likely satisfy regulatory requirements and organizational policies that can otherwise make running traffic and security certificates through a new third party provider a pain. With the Hybrid approach, often no additional effort is required to be compliant.
We recommend the Hybrid version for almost all self hosted scenarios, unless you require a local API and dashboard.
Completely independent
A self hosted installation that can operate entirely on it's own without using the Approximated cloud API.
What to consider:
In most cases we recommend the Hybrid Self Hosted plan, but for some organizations, the benefit of an installation that is completely independent from the cloud outweighs the additional costs and limitations.
The Full Self Hosted plan provides that with a fully independent self hosted installation for those that need complete detachment from the cloud. All certificates and traffic will strictly go through your infrastructure, like the Hybrid plan.
This is a streamlined version that also provides a local API and dashboard, which can be locked down to your liking on your own infrastructure and networks, and will replace the cloud API and dashboard for your usage.
Do note that newly released features seen in the cloud version may be delayed or never ported to the Full Self Hosted version, as some require cloud infrastructure that is difficult or impossible to reproduce in other environments. We have to develop and maintain this version separately from the cloud, which also raises the price, but provides a completely self-contained solution.
